AW24 | Meet Our Designer - Pippa

We’re so lucky to have our designer Pippa at Loop, with a background working with world renowned brands such as Nicole Fahri & Ralph Lauren, that are loved for their lifestyle as much as their designs; she’s elevated the new collection with a new sensibility.

We sat down with Pippa to talk about her inspiration, her philosophy and the pieces she loves:

What inspired you as you were creating this collection? Where did you draw your inspiration?

I'm most inspired by women, the ones I get to work with and know are always inspirational.  To me, the modern woman is a woman of sophistication with a defined personal style, she exudes maturity and confidence, knowing what complements her.

She is looking for pieces that are timeless yet captivating, tailored to fit her lifestyle - and work with her as she navigates everyday life.

The collection draws inspiration from the resurgence of refined glamour, offering accessible elegance that transcends the casual comfort we embraced during the pandemic.

It's time to rediscover our style roots, taking cues from fashion icons and French aesthetics, blending a touch of whimsy, versatility, and a contemporary twist for a modern yet timeless allure.

What is the guiding philosophy when designing a new collection for Loop?

Each season at Loop, we start with the premise that we are adding to an existing wardrobe, whether you are looking for something bold that feels like an easy way to embrace the latest trends, or just need to upgrade an wardrobe essential that you have relied on for years.  We want all of our designs to be elegant, effortless and versatile so you can get maximum wear and value from anything you choose to buy.  

How would you describe this collection in a few words?

Contemporary, elegant, confident and sustainable.

What is new with this collection? 

It's a true collection approach - carefully designed so you can wear a lot of it together as mix and match. More modern and confident to reflect our customer, where she is in life and what style means to her.  We're bridging the gap between high fashion, which is often difficult to wear and classics, that can be boring, with contemporary pieces you want to wear forever.

This season, think of fluid silhouettes that move gracefully with every step, luxurious textures that feel indulgent against the skin, and thoughtful designs that speak to the heart of who she is.

What factors influence the design process for each collection and this one in particular?

Our customer - what are her needs and what would she love! She wants to be modern, and relevant but not a fashion victim. I focus on the key pieces for her modern wardrobe.

For this collection, it felt like time to rediscover our style roots, taking cues from fashion icons and French aesthetics, blending a touch of whimsy, versatility, and a contemporary twist for a modern yet timeless allure.

Everything is underpinned by timelessness of our styles to be truly sustainable - these pieces are designed with longevity of design in mind, there is a nod to the trends but not so much you won't want to wear in five years time.
